i61Discovering My Spiritual Gifts

On Saturday 25th October we will be introducing Part 3 of the i61Discovery Series.

We will go on a discovery of who God made you to be and we believe that once you understand who God made you to be, then you'll understand what God made you to do.

so......... THE PURPOSE FOR THIS CLASS: Ephesians 4:11-12 "God has given pastors and teachers to prepare God's people for works of ministry, so the body of Christ may be built up."

The Bible says that it's our job as pastors to prepare God's people to do ministry. We consider this class to be the most important because we're now helping people discover what ministry is all about. Remember Ministry is Serving others in Love

THE PRINCIPLE:
MY MINISTRY IS DETERMINED BY MY MAKEUP.

Understand the purpose why we were created is shaped by understanding the kind of person I am. This is the secret of knowing God's will for my life. Why?...................... because God is consistent in His plan for each of our lives.

He would not give us inborn talents and all sorts of life experiences and then not use them. We believe by reflecting on these factors we will discover the unique way God intends for us to serve Him. There are two results from discovering our gifts………. fruitfulness and fulfillment.

So. THE FOCUS OF THIS COURSE............ at i61, we focus on an individual approach to ministry rather than an institutional approach. An institutional approach is when you centre it around the church……….. and people are just seen as resources. Most churches act this way. They make up a large list of jobs that need to be done.……………… Then they go find people to fill the jobs whether they match or not.

At i61, we take the exact opposite approach to ministry. We centre it around people and each person's uniqueness. We never want to force a square peg into a round hole.……………… Our goal is not to build an institution……… Our goal is to build people and we're going to focus on five personal factors that have combined to shape the real you. By identifying the specific traits that you possess, I think you're going to get real excited about this class. This class could change your life.

We're going to identify your unique S.H.A.P.E............. and we will look at i61's vision for ministry,……… and preview the opportunities. We will also look at what spiritual gifts are and what each spiritual gift actually means in your life

After this class you're going to have the opportunity to discuss what you've learned about yourself with us and take a huge step towards discovering your purpose
